It was with the help of biker Maite Ovejero in the 500 meter road cycling specialty held in Punta Mogotes.
«The truth is that I did not expect it, so I am very happy to have been the first gold medal in Catamarca. The race was very hard, it is very explosive, but I have been preparing a lot. I don’t have much experience on the road, so let’s hope tomorrow and the day after that I do very well,” said the delegation’s flag bearer.
In other results, the action in the sand began with victories for both the Women’s Beach Handball, which won 2-0 against Chaco, and the Men’s Beach Volleyball team with a 2-0 victory against Neuquén. Women’s Rugby also won 15-10 over Chaco. In athletics, Larisa Arancibia was fifth in the 2,000 meters Cross Country and sixth, Tiziano Nieva.
The Women’s Futsal tied 2-2 with Chaco and the Men’s 3×3 Basketball fell 5-11 with Chubut. In Badminton, victory in the men’s singles and defeats in the women’s singles and doubles. On the tennis side, the men’s singles won and the women’s singles and mixed doubles lost to Mendoza.
