From 14 to 17 November 2024, Borgo San Giacomo will host the 17th edition of the Thanksgiving Festival, an event full of activities, shows and moments of sharing to celebrate the agricultural and community tradition of the town. The event, organized by the Il Traino Association, will be held in collaboration with the municipalities of Borgo San Giacomo and Covo, and the local parish.
The program opens on Thursday 14 November with the meeting “Food is our friend, not our poison!” at the Parish Theatre, followed by the dialect comedy “Cunato! Grandma’s or fast food?”, while Friday 15th will be the turn of the “Magic Fantasy Show”, designed to entertain adults and children.
Saturday 16 November will be a day dedicated to outdoor fun: it starts with the “La Storca” color rally and the “Lashort” and “Lalunga” excursions. In Piazza San Giacomo, children will be able to enjoy the “Toyland“, while adults will be able to participate in the “Agri Aperitif” accompanied by live music.
On Sunday 17 November, the program continues with the traditional tractor rally, a parade of agricultural vehicles and the market of farm products. The day will culminate with the “Great Assault on the Cuccagna Pole”, followed by the music of the “Mariachi del Borgo” and the dialect show “Diga che so mort”.
