The trial against a 33-year-old Syrian from Malchin is ongoing before the Neubrandenburg regional court. He has to answer for large-scale drug trafficking. The man confessed to buying one kilogram of pure cocaine.
In the trial against a suspected drug dealer from Malchin (Mecklenburg Lake District), the defendant made a confession before the Neubrandenburg regional court. The public prosecutor’s office accuses the 33-year-old Syrian of wanting to sell one and a half kilograms of drugs.
Bought pure cocaine in Berlin
The defendant stated that he bought a kilogram of pure cocaine in Berlin for over 28,000 euros. During searches of his Malchin apartment, in addition to the drugs, a baseball bat, a samurai sword and a machete were found. The defendant said he was given these items as a gift and only kept them as souvenirs.
Judgment awaited
In addition, 2,800 euros and several hundred US dollars in cash were found on the 33-year-old. According to the defendant, he wanted to use this money and the proceeds from the drug trade to finance his wedding in Iraq. Because of the confession, the court promised him a maximum sentence of three years and nine months in prison. A verdict is expected to be announced next Friday.
