There are three matches that steal the attention and they all start at 5 p.m. (Argentine time): PSG vs. Atlético Madrid of the Argentines Rodrigo De Paul, Julián Álvarez, Nahuel Molina, Ángel Correa, Juan Musso and Giuliano Simeone; the Inter of Lautaro Martínez vs. Arsenal; and Bayern Munich vs. Benfica Ángel Di María, Nicolás Otamendi, Benjamín Rollheiser y Gianluca Prestianni. Furthermore, Aston Villa Emiliano Martínez y Emiliano Buendía visit Bruges from 2:45 p.m. while Barcelona plays in Serbia against Red Star.

The Champions League is played with a new format in which the 36 teams add points for a unified standings. Each of the participants faces eight different rivals, four at home and four as visitors. The first eight will advance directly to the round of 16 and those who finish from 9th to 24th place will play a Play-Off round trip for the remaining eight places.
In this edition, Tuesday and Wednesday are played and, on the last date, 18 games are played simultaneously that will determine those classified for the round of 16, the Play-Off and those eliminated. In direct elimination instances, the first and second in the League Phase may only meet in a hypothetical final.
Real Madrid is the top winner of the European championship (and so is its coach Carlo Ancelotti, with five, since no coach has won as much as him). They are the current champions, having defeated Borussia Dortmund 2-0 in the final of the last edition. Milan follows him in that race, with seven coronations, while the podium is completed by Liverpool and Bayern Munich, with six Olympic laps each.
