An exhibition to open the month against sexist violence in Puertollano

With the opening of the exhibition ‘Choose to live’ on the Paseo de San Gregorio, the activities of the Department of Equality and the Women’s Center of the campaign to raise awareness and prevention of gender violence around the commemoration of the 25th November 2024, international day against violence against women, financed with funds from the Ministry of Equality, the Secretary of State for Equality and against Gender Violence and the Puertollano City Council.

An exhibition in an urban environment that seeks to reflect and raise awareness and that emphasizes “the first warning signs” of clearly sexist behavior, a crucial moment to break the cycle of violence. Tools and resources to get out of this situation are also shown on the panels, and there is also space as a tribute to the women murdered this year 2024.

Self-defense day

The programming will continue next Sunday, November 10, with the XIV Self-Defense Day for Women, in an exhibition directed by Paqui Moreno at the Sports Specialties Center, which includes a practical self-defense class and the participation of Alejandra García Ruiz, legal of the Women’s Center, which will delve into the prevention and fight against gender violence.

A day that is carried out in collaboration with the Federation of Judo and Associated Sports and the Municipal Sports Board.
