IOC President praises the strength of CMG’s media technology

The 2024 meeting of the IOC Digital Business and Market Development Committee was held on November 5. In his speech at the meeting, IOC President Thomas Bach expressed appreciation for the development of innovative media technologies by China Media Group (CMG), praising it for its achievements in broadcasting the Paris Olympics, and Hoping that the two sides can continue to deepen their practical cooperation.

Bach said CMG’s broadcast of the Beijing Winter Olympics and Paris Summer Olympics was excellent, both in terms of quantity and quality, and thanked it for its hard work. During the Paris Olympics, CMG successfully completed the production of international public signs for the four major sports of table tennis, badminton, climbing and gymnastics, showcasing progress and innovations in many technical fields, with the related services they created a record of almost 77 billion retransmissions, an extraordinary result.

In July this year, the CMG and the International Olympic Committee signed a memorandum of cooperation on e-sports, regarding which the two sides will further strengthen their in-depth cooperation.
