A black and white photo that was posted without comment on Til Schweiger‘s Instagram account is causing confusion among his followers. Because of the motif, some even suspect that the actor could have died.
Concern for actor and producer Til Schweiger. Because the 60-year-old posted a pretty dramatic black-and-white photo of himself on his Instagram profile, some of his 433,000 followers speculate that something might have happened to Schweiger. Only the “Keinohrhasen” star’s face can be seen in the picture, the rest of him is in the shadows. Schweiger, wearing a baseball cap with “The Invincibles” printed on it, looks seriously directly into the camera. The actor leaves the dark photo, in which no photographer was linked, completely uncommented.
While many of his fans simply celebrate the picture as a successful shot by Schweiger and are happy that their star is back on his profile after a long break from Instagram since July, one or two followers are worried. After all, Schweiger’s health hasn’t been the best recently. Given the black and white photo, several fans even assume that the 60-year-old has died. “Rest in peace” or “One of the best left us today” is written in the comment column.
Schweiger himself does not respond to any of the comments, but other followers are upset on his behalf about the isolated death speculation. “He didn’t die, what are you babbling about?” or “Some people should hold back with their stupid comments here. This will only cause a chaos of emotions, which doesn’t have to be the case. Nothing was made public about his death,” are how these fans classify the rumors about Schweiger’s death.
The fact that his fans are assuming the worst is probably also due to Schweiger’s medical file, which has recently become increasingly longer. It contains, among other things, a confession of alcohol, a hospital stay due to sepsis, complications before a planned heart operation and worrying images that show Schweiger either looking fragile on crutches or with scratches on his face and a bandaged hand.
When asked by RTL, the actor has not yet commented on the reactions to his photo.
