Young soccer players from our county, apart from the fact that this season they got the opportunity to play with their peers, because before the establishment of the women’s team Lasta Gudovac, they were not able to do that in earlier years, now they can fight for the national team.
Namely, inter-county matches for girls are organized from time to time, so in recent months the most talented players of 2011 and 2012 were hosted by Virovitica, Gudovac and now again Virovitica.
Lastavice Tia Poljan, Ema Žalac, Antea Grgić, Marta Jakić and Ema Hegedić were from our area at the third gathering, and the final selection should take place on November 19 in Bjelovar.
‘All the girls were great, Ema Žalac even scored a goal. They justified their arrival and showed that they are talented and that there are female footballers in our area who can do beautiful things in football,’ Lasta coach Antun Štrok told us.
We would like to remind you that in their first appearance in the autumn part, the Lasta cadets won four games (three defeats) and are in third place in the HNLŽM Center Group B championship.
