According to Martín, this sport has reached a historic milestone with the victory in the Canary Islands Veterans Championshipa title that had never before been won by a team from the island. However, Martín also highlighted the limitations facing tennis in Lanzarote due to the shortage of suitable facilities. He pointed out the urgent need to rehabilitate the public fields in Machtpoint, in Puerto del Carmen, to accommodate more schools and facilitate the development of new talents.
