Gersoise Vanessa Martin, world and European champion, represents the JKCL in Las Vegas in the Masters/Veterans championship. She is determined to transmit the values of judo.
The Master/Veterans World Judo Championship is currently taking place in Las Vegas. In total, 68 nations are represented with no less than 1,500 competitors.

The JKCL judo club of L’Isle-Jourdain is represented by Vanessa Martin, in the – 57 kg category. The Gersoise is the reigning 2023 world champion in Abu Dhabi and 2024 European champion in Sarajevo. And she has decided to put her world title back on the line. “I wish through this new sporting project to embody all the values of judo: respect, discipline and perseverance. My desire is to be able to pass on to future generations, my judoka students, the desire to take on challenges whether in our respective lives or on the tatami mats.” To date, seven nations are represented in its women’s F3 – 57 kg category, including the United States, Japan, Germany and Canada.
