Singh Fatpal and Raj Sukdev, the two Indian citizens aged 59 and 53 accused of killing their compatriot Singh Jagar, 48, inside a residence in Bella Farnia in November last year. The two, as decided by the judge for the preliminary hearing of the Court of Latina Laura Morselli accepting the request of the public prosecutor Martina Taglione, will have to appear before the Court of Assizes of Latina on 4 February next year.
The facts date back to 13 November 2023 when, during a party to celebrate Indian Christmas in which the whole community participated in the square in front of the Bella Farnia residence, Singh Jagar was violently attacked with sticks. Then he was left dying on land not far from the Indians’ homes: the next morning a fellow countryman found him and called an ambulance but it was too late and shortly after arriving at the Goretti hospital in Latina the man died from serious injuries.
According to investigators, the victim was hit with a baseball bat all over his body including the head. The bat was later found by the police who identified Singh Fatpal and Raj Sukdev as the two responsible for the fatal beating. However, the two never clarified the motive for the killing.
