As a fighting group, the judoka from TV Kaufbeuren competed together with TV Kempten at the district individual championships in Friedberg in order to be involved in the title awarding of the Swabian teams in the U13 age group for women and men. In the final round, the boys were rewarded with the title and the girls became runners-up. At the subsequent youth U15 ranking tournament, Ivano Atlija also won a title for TV Kaufbeuren.
Boys from TV Kaufbeuren dominant
Highly motivated by the cheers of the parents who had traveled with them, the boys went to the mat first. With a clear will to win and great determination, they scored points with perfectly executed techniques and confidently prevailed against JC Augsburg, SF Friedberg, TSV Königsbrunn and TSV Wemding. From the start they dominated the action on the mat and left no doubt that the title was theirs.
Girls from TVK are also in the final
The girls were in no way inferior to the boys. With great ambition, they made it to the final and crowned their impressive performance with a strong second place. Steven Oslath, who looked after the teams, said of the success: “It is clear evidence of the continuous work and team spirit that characterized the young teams. What was particularly pleasing was that we were optimally positioned in all weight classes. This not only showed the breadth of our team, but also the excellent preparation and strong cohesion. Every single team member contributed their part to this well-deserved success.” The following were present for TV Kaufbeuren: Nico Schmid, Andreas Lang, Shahin Hoffmann, Deniz Bastürk, Gyurov Bozhidar, Elisaveta Orel, Sophia Bauer, Vanessa Teufele.
Promising Ivano Atlija in the U15
Afterwards, the ranking tournament for the U15 age group took place. Here Ivano Atlija started the race for TVK. As always, he impressed with his excellent judo technique and after four victories, he clearly won the rankings in the weight class up to 66 kg. Coach and department head Dieter Zimmermann praised Ivano’s disciplined hard work in training and highlighted him as a promising young judoka.
