The guitarist of Ozzy Osbourne and Black Label Society has once again amazed everyone with his talent.
A very political week
You’ve probably heard about it, but this week, all the world’s attention was focused on the outcome of the US presidential electionswon by Donald Trump quite broadly, at the end of a still very ridiculous and filthy campaign on both sides. Necessarily, elections are often a pretext for playing the national anthem very oftenfor American patriots who love music and anthems. This week, there is precisely one artist who stood out on the subject: Zakk Wylde, who performed an incredible cover of the American anthem during halftime of an American football game.
A symbolic performance
This is obviously not not the first time that an American artist has created a buzz by covering “Star-Sprangled Banner”the official name of the American anthem. We remember in particular Jimi Hendrix‘s incredible performance at the Woodstock festivaland its revival which has gone down in history. Zakk Wylde could also be entitled to his place in museums, forvery technical and spectacular recoveryeven if it obviously has less political significance.
It is at halftime of an NFL game between the Seattle Seahawks (at home) and the Los Angeles Rams that the guitarist distinguished himself. Alone on stage, with his black and red guitar in hand, he gave everything he could while remaining in the theme of shred-metal, his favorite style, spectacular and difficult to understand for the uninitiated. We understand better why he was chosen to become Ozzy Osbourne’s official guitarist for more than 15 years: the guy is simply a crack!
