Four people from Cuenca go to Alcázar de San Juan this weekend to play the Regional Junior Tennis

Between November 9 and 10, a new edition of the Regional Tennis Championship in the junior category will be held in Alcázar de San Juan (Ciudad Real). Fran Hernández from Cuenca will be the referee of this competition, in which there will be up to three representatives from Cuenca in this tournament that is played under a hard surface.

In the men’s category, Alvaro Gomez y Gleb Juan de Arce (Nuevo Tenis Cuenca) – provincial champion and runner-up – are among those registered in a competition that has a total of thirteen tennis players. It should be noted that both are still cadets, although they are confident of playing a good role in this tournament. In addition, they are joined by the tennis player from Villamayor de Santiago Mario Viana de la Torre (CT Villacañas), who has received a wild card by the organizing club -Club de Tenis Alcázar- to fight for the regional title.

In the women’s category, there will only be one representative from Cuenca after she did not qualify in the provincial competition. Patricia Rudnitskaya (Nuevo Tenis de Cuenca) will defend the name of Cuenca in this regional event with the intention of going as far as possible, in a tournament that will feature six tennis players from different parts of Castilla-La Mancha (two from Toledo, two from Ciudad Real, one from Guadalajara and one from Cuenca).
