MLB New York Yankees interested in Carlos Estévez

Los Yankees de New York They are showing interest in the right-hander Carlos Estevezwho is coming off an all-star season with the Anaheim Angels and Philadelphia Phillies, according to MLB Network’s Jon Morosi.

Jon Morosi noted earlier this week that Yankees de New York had been one of the most aggressive teams in talking to representatives for numerous free agent relievers during GM meetings, and now Carlos Estevez is the first name revealed.

It’s certainly no surprise that the defending American League champions are considering adding to their bullpen early on, as they could lose Clay Holmes, Tommy Kahnle and Tim Hill in free agency this offseason.

Estevez is one of the best pitchers available and would certainly be a nice addition after another solid season in which he pitched to a 2.45 ERA and 0.90 WHIP while finishing 26 games with the Los Angeles Angels and Philadelphia Phillies.
