Neuquén won 21 medals at the Evita Games » Digital Alert

The delegation of Neuquen closed its participation in the Evita National Sports Games that for six days they debated in Mar del Plata adding a total of 21 medals: 14 gold; four silver and three bronze.

Neuquén traveled with a delegation of 179 athletes participating in 20 subjectsincluding the three adapted sports (athletics, swimming and table tennis).

And it was precisely in this modality where the provincial delegation added the greatest number of medals, confirming that people with disabilities are one of the priorities of the Provincial Plan for Physical Activity, Sports and Recreation promoted by the Ministry of Human Development, Local Governments and Women, through the Sports and Youth Secretariat.

The province had both conventional sports and adapted sports, representatives from various inland regions, in addition to Neuquen capital since the cities of Rincón de los Sauces; Chos Malal; San Martin de los Andes; Aluminé; Picún Leufú; Zapala; Cutral Co; Huincul Square; Year it; Villa Pehuenia; San Patricio del Chañar and Plottier.

On the closing day, which took place on the popular Bristol beach, the women’s beach handball team could not beat the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, which won 2-0 with a golden goal, taking the silver medal without being able to repeat the title they achieved last year, but with the satisfaction of being once again among the two best teams in the country.

As a men’s team that had also become champion, it defeated Chubut 2 to 0 and took fifth place.

In the skate competition, the representative of San Patricio del Chañar, Santiago Basly He managed to get among the eight best in the country, qualifying for the championship round, where he fought for the medal, remaining very close to the podium with a fourth place behind Chubut, San Juan and Misiones.

Meanwhile, women’s field hockey was among the top eight after losing 2-1 against Córdoba, while the men were 18th.

While women’s rugby, a discipline that in its second participation in the Evita was about to fight for the bronze medal, finally finished in eighth position.

In taekwondo, although Neuquén did not get a medal, it was positioned among the eight best of 20 provinces, with fifth place standing out. Jazmin Torresat 44 kg and seventh place in Geovani Petrelliat 46 kg.
