As described, the All Star tournament in Cologne was played at a good level and yet some were more likely than others to recommend themselves for the next step – that’s how it is in competitive sports – and so unfortunately not all of the boys can go to Paderborn from January 10th to 12th be loaded. The next cut will take place there again. From the Winter Ball Camp the journey goes either to Boca Chica or possibly to the PONY Qualifier in Prague or neither. For the U15/Cadets national players you are eligible to play from the year of birth 2010 and younger, for PONY the player must have been born from May 1st 2010, which means all those born January to April of this year are unfortunately too old.
Every cut is always difficult for a coach and at the moment also sad for one or two players, but remember: it keeps going, next year it might look completely different again.
We have invited players for all the different positions, but for the U15 national team we only need a certain number of player types for each position…except pitchers, which you can never have enough of as a baseball team. The players listed now will be personally invited and you can only take part by invitation. For the first time in many years, we will no longer be staying at the Koos family’s Hotel Heide Residenz in January 2025, as it will close at the end of the year. Our new hotel in Paderborn is called Landhaus Jägerkrug
