This time, FC Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer was the focus before the duel began: he was allowed to beat the Panthers’ famous drum.
The team from Charlotte won the NFL match in the Allianz Arena with a field goal in overtime 20:17. “I’m absolutely grateful for everyone who supported us. The game has actually already stopped, but everyone is still there cheering and singing. It’s great to see that. This atmosphere here is great,” said the quarterback Panthers, Bryce Young, after the game to broadcaster RTL.
The fans in the arena created a football-like party during the game and after the final kick. They said goodbye to both teams to the sounds of Neil Diamond’s classic “Sweet Caroline” and “Don’t Stop Believin'” by Journey.
