Last out but first in class. Saturday, in the wake of the success gleaned by PSG in Angers (2-4), Bradley Barcola took a little longer than his partners to extricate himself from the bowels of the Raymond-Kopa stadium. With a smile on his face, one of the two double scorers of the evening (with Lee Kang-in) first took the time to pose with a few fans, before playing Santa Claus. With his hand buried in the bottom of his bag, he, like a magician, extracted the jersey he wore on Wednesday evening in the Champions League against Atlético Madrid (1-2) to offer it to one of the young people who were standing around near the Parisian bus.
A gesture which certainly says a lot about the simplicity of the character but which also reveals the quality of the good-natured shot that number 29 had offered a few minutes earlier on the Angevin lawn. By adding two more goals to his personal tally, Bradley Barcola simply doubled his total from last season. This Monday morning, he is still at the top of the Ligue 1 scorers’ rankings, two lengths ahead of Marseille’s Mason Greenwood and three ahead of Lille’s Jonathan David.
