When Steph Curry plays at the highest level it is tough for everyone and, thanks to Chet Holmgren‘s hip injury, the Thunder found themselves, in the big match on Sunday night in the NBA, essentially without one of their top players and with an opponent at highest levels. The friendly prediction therefore suddenly became more unlikely and Oklahoma City thus succumbed to the Warriors, losing its second game of the season.
The Thunder will now look for redemption, again at the Paycom Center against a strong opponent who has been on a positive streak for several games: the Los Angeles Clippers for whom the latest success, the one against the Raptors, was one of the tightest. In terms of percentages, neither Harden nor Powell shone (excellent instead against the Kings with his 31 points) but the Clippers are still proving to be a solid team with important numbers, so much so that Harden himself, despite lacking “precision” in match against Toronto he still scored 24 points, grabbed 12 rebounds and provided 7 assists.
If they want to recover immediately, therefore, the Thunder will have to overcome a tough opponent, perhaps more “calibrated” than when about ten days ago, at the Intuit Dome, they were overcome in the first direct clash of the season, where Shai Gilgeous shone – Alexander with his 25 points which signed the guest’s success.
