Priority to training

The president of Pickleball France is none other than Cyril Dirand, the well-known sports instructor in Pays de Fayence and who lives in Callian. He is also in charge of setting up training for future Pickleball facilitators/coaches on the national territory. Encounter.

The goal of this project? “It aims to train physical and sports education (PE) teachers in teaching pickleball in secondary and university establishments to make this sport accessible to all, regardless of age, gender or skill level or disability. The project “Pack Pick”supported by the European Commission as part of the program ‘‘Erasmus + Sport’’ for the introduction of pickleball in secondary schools and universities is entering its second phase.

Indeed, the Pickleball France Federation started a two-year project in January 2024 in partnership with organizations from Turkey, Spain and North Macedonia and a first phase resulted in the creation of a “Compendium of knowledge for teaching pickleball”.
