Tones And I brought Olympic breakdancer Raygun to perform at their show in Melbourne on Saturday (November 9), while the NFL’s Camryn Bynum reenacted her viral Olympic routine at a game the next day.
Raygun, real name Rachel Gunn, competed for Australia in break at the Paris Olympics this summer and scored no points in three rounds with an unconventional routine that ended up becoming a viral meme.
During Tones And I’s performance of “Dance With Me,” she took the stage to re-enact the infamous routine, even striking a kangaroo pose.
In a TikTok post capturing the moment, Tones And I said: “Raygun. A truly kind and beautiful person. Thank you for putting a smile on everyone’s faces ❤️ You will always have a companion in me.

The contestant, who is also a professor at Sydney’s Macquarie University, responded to backlash against her at the time by saying: “Don’t be afraid to be different, go out there and represent yourself, you don’t never know where it will lead. You. »
In an interview with Stellar Magazine (via Daily Mail) last month, Raygun opened up about his performance at the Olympics and the effect the online reaction had on his life. Under the banner “What Raygun Did Next,” Gunn reportedly said, “You didn’t shoot me. You didn’t succeed. I will maintain what I have done.
Raygun suggested last week that she was withdrawing from competition, saying in an interview that “I was going to continue to compete, of course, but that seems really hard to do now.” However, she has since clarified that her comments were taken out of context.
“It wasn’t a decision I made, it became a story. So I was talking, you know, about 2joursFM about the fact that I will no longer participate in certain competitions, which didn’t seem so bad because the break will not be part of the Olympics anyway, “she said on the Today show Monday.
“But you know, I’m still going to go to community jams, or I’d like to go to community jams and still dance and break. I’ve never used the word retirement – I’m not retiring.
“You try to stop me, I’ll never stop dancing so if you hear this again you’ll know it’s not the truth,” she said.
