Category 5 hurricane?

Columnist Alexandre Pratt predicted on the podcast Sort the zone a category 5 hurricane in Montreal in the event of defeats against the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Buffalo Sabres. The Canadian has already lost against the Leafs… and faces the Sabers this Monday at 12:30 p.m. on this American day celebrating veterans. In this week with an atypical schedule, the Canadian then plays against the Minnesota Wild on Thursday and the Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday. We think you shouldn’t miss our coverage, nor our podcast episodes coming out Tuesday and Friday.

To follow the Canadian:
Monday 12:30 p.m. on RDS or in chat with Simon-Olivier Lorange on LaPresse.ca
Thursday 8 p.m. on RDS or in chat with Simon-Olivier Lorange on LaPresse.ca
Saturday 7 p.m. on TVA Sports or in chat with Éric Martel on LaPresse.ca

Alex Duff (30), from the Laval University Rouge et Or

After a Quebec final contested between the Carabins of the University of Montreal and the Rouge er Or of Laval University, all of Quebec will line up behind the Rouge et Or for the rest of the university football journey. Next step Saturday at 3 p.m., when Laval will face Regina for the Mitchell Cup. A victory in this match would give access to the Vanier Cup, where Laval would face the winner of the Uteck Cup between Bishop’s – the Quebec champions of the Atlantic! – and Laurel.

To watch: Saturday from 12 p.m. on TVA Sports

The Victory camp gets underway

We increasingly feel the return of women’s hockey on our screens, both on television and in The Press. After months of preparation, after the unveiling of names, logos and uniforms, the players are back on the ice for training camps. For the Montreal Victory, it starts on Tuesday, November 12 at the Verdun Auditorium. The group will include 16 attackers, 10 defenders and 5 goalkeepers, and there will obviously be the opportunity to reconnect with Marie-Philip Poulin, Laura Stacey, Ann-Renée Desbiens, Erin Ambrose and Kristin O’Neill.

Kim Clavel back in the ring

Kim Clavel

The friendly boxer – and auxiliary nurse! – Kim Clavel will be back in the ring this week, to fend off any form of rust for when her big moment in the world championship returns. Thursday evening’s challenge at the Montreal Casino, however, remains relatively modest, against Mexican Mayela Perez (20-27-4), inactive for almost a year and beaten in six of her last seven fights. In the preliminaries, you will also be able to see Marie-Pier Houle at work against the French Anissa Benyoub (7-4-0).

To watch: on Triller.TV from 7 p.m. or on site at the Montreal Casino
