The Chicago Bears fired offensive coordinator Shane Waldron on Tuesday, hoping to revive one of the NFL’s worst offenses.

Aerial coordinator Thomas Brown was promoted to Waldron’s position.

These decisions come as the Bears (4-5) are going through a three-game losing streak and are experiencing numerous problems on offense, despite the arrival during the off-season of quarterback Caleb Williams, the first pick in the last draft of the NFL.

The Bears occupy the 30e league rank in offense, and the 24the in terms of points scored, as of Sunday. The Illinois team has not scored a touchdown in two games in a row for the first time since 2004.

The Bears have had possession of the ball 23 times since they last scored a touchdown in the final minute of the game against the Washington Commanders in Week 8 of the NFL – they were then tipped on a long, desperation touchdown pass from Jayden Daniels.
