This means that the 31-year-old, who signed a contract extension with the Texans until 2028 in the summer and thus became the highest-paid player in NFL history, will no longer be able to play this season.
Prescott was injured on November 3rd in the Cowboys’ 21-27 loss at the Atlanta Falcons. After nine games, Dallas has only three wins and six defeats, meaning the playoffs are already a long way off.
