Our Fenerbahçe Beko Men’s Basketball Team hosted Bayern Munich in the 9th week match of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague 2024-25 season. Our team won the match 87-76, achieved its 7th victory in the EuroLeague and moved into the lead after the match.
Nigel Hayes-Davis was the scorer of the match with 25 points, Devon Hall scored 12 points, and Tarık Biberovic and Bonzie Colson made significant contributions to the victory with 11 points each.
Our Board Members also watched the match played at Ülker Sports and Event Hall.
Onuralp Bitim, who was added to the squad of our Fenerbahçe Beko Men’s Basketball Team and will spend the 2024-25 season in Bayern Munich within the scope of the agreement, and our lucky members who used Fenerclusive, specially prepared for our Congress Members, also followed the match from the stands.
Yam Madar, who wore the Fenerbahçe Beko jersey in the 2023-24 season and made significant contributions to our Yellow Heritage during this period, was presented with the Yellow Legacy special design during the halftime.
Our team started the match; Bonzie Colson, Khem Birch, Nigel Hayes-Davis, Devon Hall, Arturs Zagars started five.
Although both teams could not get results from their attacks in the first 2 minutes, the following part was played at a high tempo and the television break was passed with a 9-10 guest team advantage. Our team, which finished the first period trailing 13-21, started the second period aggressively in attack and defense, making the score 22-23 with a 9-2 series and forcing its opponent to take a time-out. Returning from the break with Colson’s three-pointer, Fenerbahçe Beko gained the scoring advantage (25-23) and went to the locker room ahead 35-30.
In the third period, which started with mutual points, our team scored with Colson, Hayes-Davis and Sertaç, and entered the television timeout ahead 47-44. Their attacks in the second part of the period; Sarunas Jasikevicius’ students, who scored with Nigel Hayes-Davis, Nicolo Melli and Devon Hall, entered the final period ahead 67-58. Nigel Hayes-Davis scored 18 points in the third period. Continuing its fast-paced play in the fourth period, Fenerbahçe Beko won the match 87-76 and started the EuroLeague double match week with a victory.
