Club Villa Francisca takes first place in judo tournament – ​​El Nuevo Diario (Dominican Republic)

EL NUEVO DIARIO, SANTO DOMINGO.- The representations of Villa Francisca, Monte Plata and Puerto Plata took the top honors of the III Judo tournament held on Saturday at the club of that sport in Villa Francisca with the endorsement of the Dominican Federation of that discipline (Fedojudo).

With a total of 556, product of five gold, five silver and six bronze medals, the Villa Francisca Judo Club obtained first place in the tournament, which had the support of the Leidi Germán, GBC and María García foundations .

The Judo Association of Monte Plata (Bayaguana) took the second place trophy by finishing with four gold medals, one silver and two bronze, for a total of 412 points.

The third place went to the Puerto Plata Judo Association, whose athletes accumulated three first place medals, the same number of second place medals and one third place medal, to total 331 points.

The Barahona team took fourth place, with three gold medals and one silver, for 310 points, while the Naco Sports Club, with 215 units, achieved fifth place. The National House of Judo, with 202 points, finished in sixth place.

Prior to the competition program, a brief opening ceremony was held with the parade of the participating athletes.
