JUDO – On the “Slopes of Etna” the Provincial Judo Club in take-all format

A day of strong emotions experienced at Palacatania where on the morning of Sunday 10 November the first stage of the “ALICE GOLDEN TOUR” took place, with the presence of the Olympic Champion Alice Bellandi, gold medal at the Paris 2024 Olympics. First of seven stages that will take place in as many regions of Italy. The entire athletes of the Provincial Judo Club were present at the prestigious event who were able to train and listen to valuable advice in order to be able to aspire to achieve prestigious results in the future.

In the afternoon then followed by the technicians Ylenia and Carmelo Mendolia, they participated in the “Judo on the slopes of Etna” competitionrace reserved for the Children (8-9 years) and Boys (10-11 years) classes.
Excellent performances from the young athletes who demonstrated good technical and character potential which will be the basis for the competitive activity that awaits them in a few years. Supported and encouraged by the Masters and their older companions who wanted to be present, they achieved the following results:

Orlando Carmelo 20 kg 1st place;
Pino Emanuel Felice 26 kg 1st place;
D’Emilio Gioele Tommaso 36 kg 1st place;
Paulino Leonardo Kg. 40 1st place;
I lie Natalie 50 kg 1st place;

Trimarchs Joseph 23 kg 4th place;

“Excellent competitive spirit demonstrated – what was stated by coach Ylenia Mendolia – great team spirit for which everyone should be praised including the parents who support and make future expectations possible. Clearly the work continues to improve and overcome some components such as emotion which often greatly reduces performance.”
