The Men’s Badminton Team at the Directorate of Sports, SRMIST, has won the Silver medal in the South Zone Inter-University Badminton (Men’s) Tournament held from October 26th to 29th, 2024, on the campus. The participation stood at an all-time high, taking over all the previous participation in all previous zones. The SRMIST men’s badminton team gave a stellar performance and competed with the top players in the region!
Their dedication and hard work paid off, highlighting their talent and the strong sports culture the university has built. This success is a testament to both the athletes’ efforts and the thriving athletic environment at the school. The Directorate of Sports praises the team for their remarkable achievement and is excited for even more triumphs in upcoming competitions!
Indeed, with this huge result, the team has set a high benchmark for other future events and further established the reputation of this university in sports!

Nevertheless, the SRMIST’s men’s badminton team has also qualified for the All India Inter-University Badminton (Men’s) Tournament, scheduled at Shri JJT University in Jhunjhunu from December 3 to 6, 2024.
