Then we continued for one small Dümpten relay on November 9th, 2024 and November 10th, 2024 to Duisburg-Walsum, because this is where the WBC Duisburg is organizing its traditional, international Duisburg city championships. A tough program over two days of competition, as a total of 60 competitions were scheduled.
Here they sent Dümptener Ian Aswaldt, Lemi Kurt, Emilio Emre Gudia sowie Andy Parazi into the race for precious metal.
All Dümptener were able to make their way to the final and so some tough tests awaited them on Sunday.
They had to face the first setbacks Dümptener accept on the scales, because the intended opponent of Lemi Kurt Unfortunately he didn’t show up, so he couldn’t get into the ring on Sunday.
So opened Ian Aswaldt the Dümpten dance on this final day. He met Johannes Berberich from 1st BC Marburg in the cadet bantamweight division.

Could Emilio Emre Guida die Dümptener keep on track for success? He could!
His opponent in the elite welterweight final was Farsad Ahmadshah from TV Vreden.
Emilio began the fight with concentration from a good range against a southpaw who was unfamiliar to him. With a good overview, he ignored the Westphalian’s attempts to attack and countered with beautiful straights.
Emilio took part in the action from the middle of the ring, increased the pace where he had to and steadily moved forward on the referee’s scorecards.
His straights hit the mark across all three laps and he secured the distance with good footwork. In the third round he was able to increase the pace even more and put his opponent in such trouble that they had to be counted out.
After three good rounds it was clear: Winner on points and thus new Duisburg city champion: Emilio Emre Guida.
Last Dümptener rose that day Andy Parazi into the ring and he met Mohamed Jahouh from Boxring Neuss in the elite middleweight final.
It was a very competitive fight and was to the liking of the spectators present, as it had pretty much “everything” that boxing had to offer. Closely led, high tempo and punch frequencies, hard hands and counting on both sides, strong dynamics.
While the first round was still in the Neuss corner, it wasn’t really possible to agree on a winner in rounds two and three; here the action wavered back and forth.
Ultimately the victory went narrowly into the Neuss corner Andy was decorated with silver and a strenuous sporting week was coming to an end.
