Dominican players Juan Soto, José Ramírez and Vladimir Guerrero Jr.in the American League; Teóscar Hernández, Ketel Marte and Manny Machadoin the National League, were announced by Major League Baseball as Silver Bat winners in their respective leagues.
For outfielder Soto, of the New York Yankees, it was his fifth Silver Slugger in his brilliant career. Third baseman José Ramírez, of the Cleveland Guardians, won his fifth, while first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr., of the Toronto Blue Jays, won his second in the young circuit.
While Manny Machado, of the San Diego Padres, won his second award, while Ketel Marte, of the Arizona Diamondbacks, and Teóscar Hernández, of the Los Angeles Dodgers, won their first.
Other winners were, as designated hitter, Shohei OhtaniDodgers (NL), and Brent Rooker, Athletics (LA).
As an LA outfielder, Aaron Judge (NYY) and Anthony Santander (Orioles), and in the NL, Jackson Merrill and Jurickson Profar, (Padres).
Shortstop, Bobby Witt Jr. (KC) and Francisco Lindor (Mets). As first baseman, Bryce Harper (Phillies). Venezuelan José Altuve, of the Houston Astros, won his seventh, and catchers Salvador Pérez (KC) his fifth and William Contreras (Cerveceros) his second.
