Tomas Spikermann Bronze Medal in Pan American Judo Cup
The Calafate native participated in this tournament in Lima, Peru where he fought with the former world champion and Silver medalist at the London 2012 Olympic Games, the Cuban Asley González. He also participates in the South American Championship.
The judoka from El Calafate representing Argentina, participated in the Pan American Judo Cup in Lima, Peru, an event that awards points for the ranking for the 2019 Pan American Games in that Peruvian capital.
Tomás Spikerman began his participation by beating the Panamanian José Luís Ortega Mendoza, and then he had a very tough fight, with the former silver medalist of the London 2012 Olympic Games, the Cuban Asley Gonzalez, who was the winner of the -90 kilo Category .
The Calafate judoka moved on to the repechage, where he beat Anthony Peña from Venezuela and thus won the Bronze medal and added points for the ranking that is a qualifier for the Lima 2019 Pan American Games and the athlete from our tourist village is 5th.
