The San Francisco 49ers and cornerback Deommodore Lenoir have reached an agreement on a five-year contract extension worth a total of $92 million, according to ESPN.
Lenoir, 25, is currently in the final year of a rookie contract signed with his selection in the fifth round of the 2021 NFL Draft.
He would have been eligible for full free agency after the 2024 season, as would Charvarius Ward, another talented Niners cornerback.
Lenoir has excelled this season and demonstrated his versatility, with 53 tackles, two interceptions and a forced fumble. He also recovered a blocked punt against the Arizona Cardinals and returned it 61 yards for the first touchdown of his career.
According to data from Pro Football FocusLenoir has allowed his opponents 35 catches on 56 passes attempted this season.
