As part of her Canadian tour, Olympic champion Christa Deguchi will make a stop in Montreal on November 14 and 15 to share her passion with young judokas.
Gold medalist in the under 57 kg category at the Paris Olympic Games last summer, Deguchi began her coast-to-coast tour on November 5 in British Columbia. This visit will take her to Dieppe and Riverview, New Brunswick.
In Montreal, Christa Deguchi will participate in a camp for athletes in the U12, U14 and first year U16 categories, for young judokas with a yellow belt or more. The activity will take place on November 15, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the Center Pierre-Charbonneau.
The event is completely free and Judo Canada would like to invite members of the media to join the activity and come meet our champion.
Judo Canada would also like to thank its partners, the Government of Canada, Ford Canada and Ford Quebec, who make this project possible and spread the passion for judo to the next generation.
Deguchi will also be present on November 16 during the Judo Canada High Performance Gala where we will celebrate the country’s judokas who participated in the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris.
