‘WE ARE WORKING TO FACILITATE SOCIAL ACCESS TO THE BASKETBALL BRANCH’
In his speech at the opening, BİDEV Board Member Arif Aytekin said, “As BİDEV, since our establishment in 2020, we have been working to contribute to the physical and spiritual development of children and young people through sports and to facilitate social access to the basketball branch. With the ‘BIDEV Step for Basketball in Villages’ social responsibility project, we provide basketball courts to local schools in need. “Today, we are donating a basketball court to this school in Adıyaman,” he said and thanked the supporting organizations.

Arif Aytekin continued his words as follows: “Within the scope of the ‘BİDEV Step for Basketball in Villages’ project, which we continue with the aim of facilitating the adaptation of children and young people to life through basketball in disadvantaged regions, we have reached more than 7 thousand children in 9 provinces since 2022. We aim for 400 students to benefit from our field at Adıyaman Şehit Ahmet Demir Secondary School. In addition to the fields, we provide training equipment and sports equipment support to school team athletes. We also provide basic basketball, leadership and personal development training to physical education and basketball coaches in the regions. We are in constant contact with our schools and instructors. We follow the needs, additional demands and successes of school teams, if any. Our goal is to reach 81 points.”
‘BIDEV SERVES A VERY VALUABLE PURPOSE’
Haluk Levent, Chairman of the Dude Association, said in his speech at the ceremony: “As the Dude Association, we rebuilt 19 schools that were destroyed after the February 6 earthquake, and thousands of students are currently continuing their education and training in these schools. We are also working hard to ensure that our schools under construction in Hatay meet with students as soon as possible. Today, we are together in Adıyaman for the opening of BİDEV’s 10th basketball court. “We would like to thank BIDEV for serving a very valuable purpose.”
