TIVOLI – Judo, fighters from Tiburtina protagonists at the national championship

Eight gold medals, four silver and 14 bronze.

This is the result of participation in the 39th CSEN National Judo Championship held on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th November in Riccione for the judo team of the “Tatakai” of Villa Adriana.

In the great competition, which involved over 1400 athletes from around 120 sports clubs from all over Europe, the fighters of the Judo school directed by masters Christian Valenzi and Fabio Piacentini stood out, finishing eleventh, confirming themselves as the protagonists of the discipline.

Out of 38 athletes, 26 achieved the podium.

Francesco Cappa and Francesco Lamonarca climbed to the highest podium, thus becoming national champions. Gold medals also for Antonio Iori, Kevin Serban, Nicolò Axente, Massimo Proizi, Francesco Giuliani and Giorgia Rinaldi.

Lorenzo Meliadò and Tommaso Iandolo, new black belt, won the title of vice national champion, while Gabriele Carbone and Adele Oprea also won second place in their respective categories.

Third place for Luca Mastropaoli, Lisa Tomassoni, Sergio Stef, Andrea Tudorache, Samuele Mandolesi, Christian Salamone, Fabio Piacentini, Martina Ciaraglia, Valerio Romani, Christian De Paola, Tancredi Paolone, Francesco Mariani, Lorenzo Tiberi and Ludovica Condò.

Other athletes of the “Tatakai” judo team include fifth places for Victor Miron, Mattia Siconolfi, Samuel Prota, Dumitru Loukas, Luciano Quaranta, Marco Mariani, Simone Cafiero, Samuele Baculo and Chiara Vivone.

Seventh place Daniele Cinus, Christian Pecorari and Lorenzo Tomassoni.
