La Roda hosts the final of the JCCM Women’s Basketball Trophy

It is Sunday at 5:30 p.m., in the JJ Lozano pavilion, will be disputed grand finale of the JCCM Women’s Trophyin which the teams will compete for the title of champions Polígono Basketball (Toledo) and Albacete Basketball Club. During the presentation, the delegate of Education, Culture and Sports of the JCCM in Albacete, Diego Pérez, accompanied by Luis Fernández, head of the Sports Service of the provincial delegation of the JCCM in Albacete, and Javier Escribano, councilor of Sports in the City Council of La Roda, announced the details of the event.

Javier Escribano expressed his gratitude to the general director of Youth and Sports, Carlos Yuste, already Community Board for choosing La Roda for the celebration of “another important sporting event”, one of the many that have been taking place.

The event, completely free, will be attended by Red Cross volunteers who will raise donations for those affected by DANA. The Sports Councilor invited all citizens to attend and enjoy this day in which women’s basketball will be the main protagonist.

The provincial delegate of Education, Culture and Sports highlighted the commitment of the City Council of La Roda in the promotion of sport and other sporting activities that have been taking place on a recurring basis in the town, as well as its support in this event organized by the Department of Education, Culture and Sports of the Board, in collaboration with the CLM Basketball Federation.

Pérez stressed that the objective of the regional government is to continue betting on sport and its promotion in all age groups and “use sport as a “enriching activity for personal development” and the values ​​that its practice promotes; in addition to being “an element of social and territorial cohesion”. At the same time, he added that it was the main objective of the CLM Government to “enhance” women’s sports.

Finally, the provincial delegate recalled that our community is in 2024 “European Sports Region” and how “European capital” of sportdemonstrates this recognition with the celebration this year around some 2,000 sports activities and nearly 500,000 participants; In the province of Albacete, there are around more than 400 events scheduled, with an estimate of around 100,000 participants.
