Bronze medals from athletics for Santa Cruz

This Wednesday was the third day of competition of the Araucania 2024 Binational Games in Chile.

The athletics of the province achieved two more medals, where Cielo Martínez achieved the bronze medal in high jump and also on the podium of the 100 meter dash the athlete Santiago Guidetti adding the two medals for the province.

The Calafate athletes who were present this Wednesday were in men’s basketball where Tadeo Ceballos is playing and the Santa Cruz team lost by three points with La Pampa but by score difference they went to this Thursday’s semifinal with Neuquén.

For its part, women’s basketball beat Tierra del Fuego and also reached the semifinals of the Araucanía Binational Games.

Santa Cruz cycling is participating where Luciano Núñez from El Calafate is on the men’s team.

In women’s soccer this Wednesday Santa Cruz lost 1 to 0 and three Calafateñas are playing on the team: Juliana Angeli, Daira Correa and Aldana Avarese.

Meanwhile, Men’s Soccer also lost to Bío Bío and in judo the two Santa Cruzans did not advance to the final round for medals.

In Men’s and Women’s Volleyball, in the morning at the IND Gymnasium in the city of Coyhaique, the men’s volleyball match was played between the team from the Ñuble Region who defeated the Santacruceña team 3-0. At the end of the morning, women’s volleyball was defeated by Neuquén in an extensive 5-set match, 3 to 2.

And in Men’s and Women’s Swimming, in the Town of Aysén Men’s and Women’s Swimming is being developed, in the first 2 days of competition the Santa Cruz team obtained the following results:
