REPORTAGE – In a gloomy atmosphere and facing sparse stands, but without any major incident to report, the Blues faced Israel on Thursday at the Stade de France.
Show must go on. But the heart was not there… For the first time since June 2023, the Blues found “their” Stade de France on Thursday, for a poster against Israel, in the League of Nations. The authorities did not wait for the serious excesses observed in Amsterdam last week, during a match between Ajax and Maccabi Tel Aviv, to put in place a drastic security system. Between an explosive context, reinforced security measures and a certain disenchantment for the French team, the Saint-Denis enclosure was not full, far from it. Less than 20,000 spectators in the stands, the worst attendance for a Tricolores match at the “SDF” (excluding covid period).
