Hamburg:
Katrin Sass is currently in front of the camera for the 25th time as ex-prosecutor Karin Lossow – for “The Usedom Crime – Turning Point” (working title). The Thursday crime thriller from ARD Degeto Film and NDR is being produced until December 11th in the German and Polish parts of the Baltic Sea island as well as in Berlin and the surrounding area. The script was written by Dinah Marte Golch – this is her fifth submission for the extremely successful series – and Isabell Serauky, who is involved in the “Usedom crime thriller” for the second time. Director Maris Pfeiffer is also working with the “Usedom Crime” team for the second time. In addition to Katrin Sass, the acting ensemble includes Till Firit (commissioner Rainer Witt), Rainer Sellien (police officer Holm Brendel), Jana Julia Roth (police officer Dorit Martens) and Milena Dreissig (prosecutor Katharina Stozek). The new case is expected to be shown on Erste and in the ARD media library in the fall of next year.
In “Wendepunkt” Karin Lossow meets the mysterious Mandy (Anne Haug), who is apparently stalking her colleague Martin Rabe (Lasse Myhr) and his parents. Shortly afterwards, Martin’s fiancée Antonia (Anna Baranowska) is found dead. While Rainer Witt investigates Antonia’s company, an innovative water desalination start-up, Karin Lossow uncovers Mandy’s shocking connection to the Rabe family – a story that goes back to the GDR and the fall of the Wall in 1989.
In addition to those mentioned, Katarzyna Maciag (Kobylinska), Julia Jäger (Ulrike Rabe), Thomas Bading (Wolfgang Rabe), David Ruhland (Kai Berger) and Katerina Medvedeva (Lena Nowak) also play.
The producer is Gerhard Meixner (Razor Film), producer: Aimee Fox, camera: Dominik Berg. Janek Plathe is in charge of production. Donald Kraemer (NDR) and Katja Kirchen (ARD Degeto) are responsible for the editorial team.
The 23rd and 24th cases of “The Usedom Crime”, “Am Scheideweg” and “Emma”, will premiere soon: on November 19th and 26th in the ARD media library and on November 21st and 28th at 8:15 p.m. in the first. The two cases mark the tenth anniversary of the series.
