The 11th annual conference of the International Association of Football Lawyers (AIAF) was concluded, which was hosted by the Saudi Football Association in the capital, Riyadh, over the course of November 13 and 14, at the King Abdullah Financial Center (KAFD), with the participation of an elite group of sports law and football experts at the international level. .

The activities of the last day began with a session entitled “A glimpse into the development of Saudi football,” during which the Vice President of the Saudi Professional League, Saad Al-Ladhiz, and 3 lawyers from the AIAF members, David Casserly, Marcos Motta, and Sebastian Ledior, spoke.

The closing day also witnessed a session entitled “The Transfer System,” during which AIAF members, lawyers Andrea Bozza and Juan de Dios Crespo Pérez, and FIFPRO’s Chief Legal Advisor, Alexandra Gomez Brønywoud, and FIFA’s Director of Football Regulations, Jan Kleiner, spoke.

The conference activities concluded with a session titled “Latest Updates on the New FIFA Regulations – Summary Report of the Third Workshop (FIFA-AIAF)”, during which Anna Smirnova, Alex Papantonio and Maite Nadal spoke, and they participated as lawyers from the International Association of Football Lawyers (AIAF).

The 11th annual conference of the International Association of Football Lawyers (AIAF) was launched yesterday (Wednesday) in the presence of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Sports for Sports and Youth Affairs, Abdulaziz Al-Musaad.

The conference is an extension of the efforts of the Saudi Football Federation to enhance cooperation with various international sports bodies in order to exchange experiences and contribute to serving global football, which represents one of the goals of the global influence path in the Saudi football transformation strategy that was launched in September 2021.
