VALENCIA. The Canadian center Kayla Alexander landed this morning at the Valencia airport, where she offered her first words about her decision to sign for Valencia Basket: “Because it is Valencia. It is one of the best basketball projects. He is very professional and I wanted to have the opportunity to continue growing and working on my game. And I knew I could do it here. Valencia always competes at a high level. I’m looking forward to that challenge, growing and having the opportunity to learn and play against and with some of the best, and also learn from some of the best.”
Regarding what is expected of her, she assures that “I’m going to be myself and do what I do. Trying to continue to develop my game, whether it’s getting rebounds, what I can do around the basket. “I will do everything I can to contribute to the success of the team.”
Alexander met some players in his career and assures that “I contacted a couple of them before coming here. “I’m looking forward to meeting everyone and getting to work.”
Her brother Kyle Alexander was at the taronja club and told Kayla that “He loved playing here, it is a great city, the fans are very supportive and I will have a great time here. So I’m looking forward to it.”
