Giovanni Morsiani, originally from Faenza and current deputy vice president of FIJLKAMhas decided to run for president of the federation, challenging the other official candidate, Ezio GambaOlympic gold medalist in Moscow in 1980. Morsiani’s decision was communicated through a letter addressed to sports clubs, managers and members, in which he presented the guidelines of his program.
The program: development and transparency
In his communication, Morsiani wanted to underline the importance of federal management that starts from the base:
«My door is always open, because the federation is made up of the base and I intend to address the base». The declared objective is to strengthen the bond between FIJLKAM and the new generations, introducing innovative programs that can bring young people closer to the disciplines of judo, lotta, karate and the other martial arts represented by the federation.
A fundamental aspect of Morsiani’s project is the transparency:
«Transparency will be the heart of my management. It is my commitment to ensure that the federation’s resources are used efficiently and that every decision is taken with the maximum involvement of the affiliated clubs.”

«I want a FIJLKAM where everyone can feel represented and listened to. Mine is a commitment, a challenge that I accept, a peremptory desire to achieve, with all of you, the many objectives that FIJLKAM expects from us.”
