Extraordinary success for Negramaro on Sky. Super guests in the fourth X-Factor live show, the band presented a preview of their latest album to be released on November 22nd. Anticipation is growing in Sardinia for the New Year’s Eve performance in Alghero’s Piazzale della Pace. It will be a “Wonderful” New Year’s Eve. The anticipation is growing in Sardinia for the twenty-eighth edition of Cap d’Any de l’Alguer, which this year will see the Negramaros as super guests for the longest night of the year, December 31st. Giuliano Sangiorgi (vocals, piano and guitars), Emanuele Spedicato (guitars), Ermanno Carlà (bass), Danilo Tasco (drums), Andrea De Rocco (sampler) and Andrea Mariano (piano, synthesizers, programming, editing) will retrace the musical stages that made them famous to the general public. “In the Riviera del Corallo, as per tradition, a New Year’s Eve of the highest level and quality is confirmed – underlines the president of the Alghero Foundation, Graziano Porcu – with a much-loved group that has written the history of pop-rock in Italian music and will close for a month very rich in demonstrations and events”.
With over twenty years of career, 9 studio albums, 1 live album, 1 greatest hits and 3 docu-films, many songs signed by the band have become true icons. “Estate“, “The immense“, “Only 3 minutes“, “While everything flows” and, precisely, “Marvelous“, the extraordinary cover of the famous song by Domenico Modugno. Until we get to the new single “Martians” from the upcoming album “Free love“, recorded in Berlin in the historic Hansa Studios, to be published on November 22nd, relaunched as a preview with extraordinary success on the occasion of the fourth live of X-Factorbroadcast yesterday on Sky. Born and raised in the province of Lecce, the six musicians took their first steps in the alternative music circuit, attracting the attention of the general public thanks to the sound power in their numerous live performances. Theirs is first and foremost the story of a friendship: their recording debut in 2003 with the album of the same name “Negramaro“, but it is with “000577” (2004) that the band began to establish itself. Negramaro were the first Italian band to play at the San Siro Stadium in Milan and at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium in Naples. A long and overwhelming career celebrated in 2023, in the year of the twentieth anniversary of his debut, in live shows in the most evocative Italian stone theatres, from the Baths of Caracalla to the Greek Theater of Syracuse up to the Arena of Verona: a critical and popular success public.
In 2024 Negramaro participated in the Sanremo Festival with “Let’s start everything again“, the single included in the band’s new recording project which features Aiello, Malika Ayane, Elisa, Niccolò Fabi, Tiziano Ferro, Fabri Fibra, Jovanotti and Kaleo among the guests. After the long-awaited stop in Sardinia in the large square overlooking the tourist port of Alghero, on the occasion of the next New Year’s Eve, already announced on Negramaro Palasport 2025the tour that will see them perform from next September in the main cities of Italy. “The return of the Negramaros to Alghero after so many years is undoubtedly a “wonderful” way to accompany the end of 2024 and inaugurate the beginning of the new year.
