In the first set, Niemeier received the decisive break at 3:4 and was no longer able to turn the round around. In the second set she lost four more service games, breaking Raducanu’s serve twice herself. Ultimately, Niemeier had to admit defeat after the sixth match point and 1:55 hours.
Siegemund had a bad day and never really got into the game. For them it was over after just 70 minutes.
The last time was in the quarterfinals in 2019
