The Network promotes tourism

This national network is committed to promoting quality tourism. At the moment, around 140 municipalities with less than 25,000 inhabitants throughout the country are part of it. For San Lorenzo it is especially significant when throughout the month of November San Lorenzo de El Escorial celebrates the Heritage Days, on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the inclusion of the Monastery and Site on the UNESCO World Heritage list.
San Lorenzo, one of the first
The mayor, Carlota López Esteban, has collected the plaque that accredits San Lorenzo in the Magical Towns of Spain Network. In this regard, he pointed out “the importance of being part of one of the most prominent territorial and tourism promotion networks in Spain; being one of the first municipalities in the Community of Madrid to belong to it.”
In fact, San Lorenzo de El Escorial is the second town in Madrid to become part of the “Magical Towns of Spain”, after Loeches. Its Tourism Councilor was also present at this morning’s event.
“Magical Towns of Spain” has among its objectives to promote authentic and sustainable experiences, encouraging overnight stays, through its app and website; with the inclusion of reports in specialized magazines and with the collaboration of content creators on social networks, in addition to promotion at fairs and events.
