Harrison Butker of the Kansas City Chiefs will miss at least four games due to meniscus surgery on his left knee and has already been placed on the injured reserve list. According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, the operation was successful, as Butker himself confirmed on X.
The 29-year-old, who is in his eighth season playing for the Chiefs, has an impressive career field goal percentage of 89.2 percent and has shown his consistency this season with 18 of 20 converted attempts and 21 of 22 extra points.
During Butker’s absence, the Chiefs signed Spencer Shrader from the New York Jets’ practice squad. Shrader, who started the season with the Indianapolis Colts, recently impressed with two converted field goals against the Arizona Cardinals. Butker could not return until Week 15 against the Cleveland Browns at the earliest and will miss upcoming games against the Buffalo Bills, Carolina Panthers, Las Vegas Raiders and Los Angeles Chargers.
