In line with their motto “Education and Performance” and their value “Mutual Prosperity and Benefit” which translates as “JITA KYO EI” in Japanese, to celebrate this anniversary, the club is launching “Jita Kyo EI without Roro”, a call for unity against hard drugs, using judo as a lever for positive change.

A few words about the Hakudokan Judo Club Madagascar?
Founded in 1999 by Sensei Mamy Dongoza RASOLONDRAIBE, currently in 6th dan, the Hakudokan Judo Club Madagascar is much more than a simple sports club. Hakudokan, meaning ‘school of purity in Japanese, aims to generate true judokas through education based on the principles of authentic judo and competitive excellence.

Our club has distinguished itself many times on the national and international scene, particularly in Africa and the Indian Ocean. We are proud to count among our members, Fetra RATSIMIZIVA, a former Olympian who directs Judo Diaspora France.
Thanks to our initiative, the Japanese New Year ceremony “Kagami Biraki” has become an annual tradition in Madagascar. In the presence of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Ambassador of Japan and the Japanese Community, this cultural event contributes to strengthening the bond between our two countries.

What about the club’s 25th anniversary celebration?
Since January 2024, we have initiated a vast transformation movement within our club with the development and implementation of the SAKURA Development Strategy, based on Judo management. The in-depth restructuring of our club, the first milestone of radical change, laid the solid foundations on which we were able to build the JITA KYO EI event without RORO, a true catalyst for our future development.

What will be the activities for the “JITA KYO EI without RORO” event on December 1, 2024?
Guided by our values of Prosperity and Mutual Benefit (Jita Kyo ei), and by our motto “education and performance”, faced with the urgency of the hard drugs crisis, we decided to act. It is in this spirit that we launched the JITA KYO EI sans RORO event”, a vast awareness campaign against hard drugs, specifically “roro” by making judo a prevention tool against this scourge.
Sponsored by the Analamanga Judo League, the event will be under the patronage of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Urban Commune of Antananarivo and the Malagasy Judo Federation. On the program: a spectacular flashmob, an anti-roro forum, a corporate cross-country race and high-level training for our black belts.

What messages do you want to convey?
Faced with the urgency of the situation, the Hakudokan Judo Club is launching an appeal to all active forces. The fight against this scourge requires collective action. Together, let’s unite our efforts to protect our youth and build a better future. Every gesture counts, every support is precious. Join us in this marathon and let’s cross the finish line together!
Prosperity and mutual benefit!

JITA KYO EI!
JITA KYO EI sans RORO!
