Sports editorial, Nov 15 (EFE).- The Spanish women’s beach soccer team won the ‘Neom Soccer Cup’ in Saudi Arabia for the second consecutive time by beating Brazil in the final by a clear 4-1, after having also defeated in the previous phase by 4-6.
The team coached by Sidi Omar always marked the time of the game and began to decide success in the first quarter with the goals scored in just two minutes by Paqui Campoy, one of the outstanding players of the Spanish team in the tournament, and Carolina González.
Spain, with 2-0 in its favor, won calmly, especially when Laura Gallego was a wall in the goal with worthy saves.
The second quarter – each match consists of three with a duration of 12 minutes each – started positively for the Spanish team with a goal from Jessica González.
The 3-0 score was a hard blow for the Brazilians, but Bárbara Colodetti got her team into the game with a goal with plenty of time left to finish this period.
That slight reaction was deactivated quickly with the success of Andrea Mirón, who made it 4-1 at the end of the quarter and in the end it was definitive.
In the last one the scoreboard did not move due to the stops of the Brazilian Lele Lopes and the Spanish Laura Gallego, who stopped all the advances of her rival so that in the end there was a Spanish party in the Neom Cup for the second consecutive year.
The Spanish team already beat Brazil in the 2023 final, on that occasion by 5-3. EFE
