Every year, approximately 70 adults from the various branches of Okkernoot and Zonnelied come together to exercise during Zonnennoot. This year this took place on Friday, November 15 in the Hernekouter in Herne.
A sports day was organized for the residents of Okkernoot in Vollezele, a facility for adults with intellectual disabilities, together with the residents of Zonnelied from Tollembeek. A lot of sports were done in the Hernekouter. The participants could choose from: a bouncy castle, folk games, dancing, walking, mini golf, floorball and badminton. The atmosphere was good and many residents look forward to participating every year. “This trip is very important for our people, to exercise and relax together,” said a supervisor. A total of thirty supervisors ensured that everything went smoothly.
